RECOMMENDATIONS
Installation of the XY2-SB•• two-hand control unit should be
such that an operator releasing a control device cannot enter
a dangerous zone before dangerous moving parts have
stopped, taking into account the approach speed as defined
in standards NF E 09-052 and EN 294.
The two-hand control unit is equipped with :
- an S3 emergency stop. If this function is not used on the
unit, it is essential to replace the emergency stop button
with the blanking plug supplied,
- two controls S1 and S2.
After connecting the control unit and the module check that
reset of the emergency stop does not cause restarting of the
machine.
Operation is assured in normal ambient conditions (i.e. –25°C
to +70°C for a relative humidity of less than 95% with no
condensation or freezing).
Installation of the XY2-SB•• two-hand control unit
Vertical installation on the frameof the machine
Fix the two-hand control unit using the holes provided for this
purpose.
Horizontal installation on pedestal XY2-SB95
Four prepositioned holes have to be drilled by the user.
Recommended cut-out Ø 6,5.
To gain access to the contact terminals, open the control
unit having removed the lower screws.
Warning : after electrical connection, reassemble the two
sections of the control unit, scrupulously following the screw
tightening order.
Recommended tightening torque : 4 Nm
Control unit connecting cable
The cable must be screened and the screening should be
linked to the earth at one end only (cable not supplied).
Observe utilization precautions so as not to sever the cable.
Combinable safety module (not supplied)
The two-hand control unit is combinable with a safety module
conforming to the wiring diagrams supplied with the module.
The module must be mounted in the control panel enclosure.
Electrical connection
Ensure earth continuity between the cover and the casing
of the control unit at the time of installation.
Connect the terminals marked using 2.5 mm

cable.
Cable entries
Bottom :
- 2 unthreaded holes for 21P cable gland (PG21)
- 1 unthreaded hole for 13P cable gland (PG13).
Back :
- 1 unthreaded hole for 13P cable gland (PG13).
The connecting cable should be of an external diameter
compatible with the cable glands to ensure the effectiveness
of the cable clamping device.
The cable glands are not supplied.

RECOMMANDATIONS
L'implantation du pupitre de commande bimanuelle
XY2-SB•• doit être telle qu'un opérateur lâchant un organe de
service ne puisse atteindre la zone dangereuse avant l'arrêt
des éléments mobiles dangereux, compte tenu de la vitesse
d'approche définie dans les normes NF E 09-052 et EN 294.
Le pupitre de commande bimanuelle est équipé :
- d'un arrêt d'urgence S3. Si cette fonction n'est pas
utilisée sur le pupitre, il est indispensable de remplacer
le bouton d'arrêt d'urgence par un bouchon obturateur
fourni,
- de deux organes de commande S1 et S2.
Vérifier qu'après câblage du pupitre et du module de sécurité
le réarmement de l'arrêt d'urgence ne provoque pas de
redémarrage de la machine.
Le fonctionnement est assuré dans les conditions normales
d'ambiance (à savoir de -25°C à +70°C pour une humidité
relative inférieure à 95% et sans condensation ni givrage).
Installation du pupitre de commande bimanuelle
XY2-SB••
Fixation verticale directement sur le bâti de la ma-
chine
Fixer le pupitre de commande bimanuelle au moyen des trous
réservés à cet usage.
Fixation horizontale sur le pied XY2-SB95
Quatre trous prépositionnés sont à percer par
l'utilisateur : perçage Ø 6,5 préconisé.
Pour accèder aux bornes de contacts ouvrir le pupitre de
commande après desserrage des vis inférieures.
Attention : aprés câblage resserrer les deux parties du
pupitre de commande impérativement suivant l'ordre
préconisé.
Couple de serrage préconisé : 4 Nm.
Câble de liaison avec le coffret de commande
Le câble doit être blindé et le blindage doit être relié à la masse
par une seule de ses extrèmités (câble non fourni).
Prendre les précautions d'usage afin d'éviter le sectionne-
ment du câble.
Module de sécurité associable (non fourni)
Le pupitre de commande bimanuelle est à associer à un
module de sécurité selon les schémas de câblage relatifs aux
modules de sécurité fournis avec ceux-ci.
Le module doit être obligatoirement monté dans l'armoire de
commande.
Branchement électrique
La continuité de terre entre le couvercle et le fond de la
commande doit être assurée lors de l'installation. Raccorder
un fil de 2,5 mm

sur les bornes repérées .
Entrées de câble
Face inférieure :
- 2 trous lisses pour presse-étoupes 21P (PG21)
- 1 trou lisse pour presse-étoupe 13P (PG13).
Face arrière :
- 1 trou lisse pour presse-étoupe 13P (PG13).
Le câble de raccordement doit avoir un diamètre extérieur
compatible avec les presses étoupes pour obtenir l'efficacité
correcte du dispositif anti-arrachement.
Les presse-étoupes sont non fournis.
