Change Description
This letter is to inform you that Molex is revising the Sales Drawing and Application
Spec of 46720 Series, Edgeline Coedge Connector to provide a clearer PCB design
recommendation for optimal connector performance. Terminal contact point are
also pulled by back 0.10mm to remove risk of terminal leading edge touching solder
mask when solder mask thickness is at maximum. Changes to be made : 1.
Defined solder mask keep out area for the Edge Card in SD-46720-0000 (sheet 2 of
7) and AS-46720-001 (sheet 12 of 15). 2. Revised notes to SD-46720-0000
(sheet 2 of 7) to describe the recommended Edge Card chamfers and tie bars. 3.
Terminal design changed to pull back the contact point by 0.10mm. Qualification
test had been conducted on the improved connector. The changes does not affect
the fit and function of the connector and will be implemented as a running change.
