Product Discontinuance Notice - Select SoC QFP and PLCC Packages with SnPb Finish Part Numbers
Description
Amkor Philippines, Microsemi’s sole leaded QFP and PLCC supplier, will no longer accept orders on these part
numbers after August 7, 2018. All of these packages offer lead-free alternative packages.
Microsemi is discontinuing support for part numbers in QFP and PLCC packages having SnPb terminal plating
finish.
Reason for Discontinuance
Microsemi’s SnPb QFP and PLCC vendor, Amkor Philippines, is closing the SnPb plating line. The affected
Microsemi part numbers are being discontinued. Please see the part number table below.
Customer Impact
Customers should migrate to equivalent pin compatible lead-free packaged devices.
Limited Availability, Timely Forecast, and Order Placement
Every effort should be made to place last-time buy orders in a timely manner; do not wait until the last
moment to place orders. Timely order placement, especially in cases where demand may exceed historical run-
rates, is critical to optimize availability of these products.
Orders for the products affected will be non-cancelable and non-returnable (NCNR). In addition, the request
date(s) cannot be extended beyond the last-time ship date.
Microsemi will honor a six month period to place last-time buys, and an additional twenty-six (26) months to
take receipt of products.
Replacement Parts
For all of the affected products there are migration paths to pin compatible devices in similar packages.

Last Shipment Date: October 31, 2020
