KEMET is working for improving the marking phase in order to enhance marking reliability during
the update/general maintenance of the marking tools.
This is achieved without impact to product form, fit or function as the products are equivalent with
respect to physical, mechanical, quality and reliability characteristics.
Current marking (inkjet and offset) and new laser marking process can be used for top and
lateral side without any change in the marking layout and information (see example below).
Laser marking has already been used for some series for a long time without any issue in terms
of marking readability and reliability.

Increase production capacity flexibility and focus on the best practices upgrading the marking
tools using state of the art technology
Effective Date
and Identification
Starting from May 2017 KEMET will start to use laser marking and to delivery the product with
this upgraded marking tool.
No specific identification on the label because the product will not change
