THIS IS NOT A NEW PDN ISSUANCE
This revision 2.0.0 is an update to rev 1.0.0 with the purpose to remove MAX II
(including MAX II G & MAX II Z) from PDN2041. Intel’s current estimate is that MAX II
products will be reviewed for EOL in 2024.
Description:
Intel is discontinuing Arria GX, Stratix II, Stratix II GX & MAX 7000A Field Programmable
Gate Array (FPGA) and Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD) product families. A
complete list of device family ordering part numbers (OPNs) is listed in Attachment 1A-
1D.
Reason for Change:
• Arria GX, Stratix II and Stratix II GX are being discontinued due to Intel’s vendor
phasing out its production line capacity for flip chip eutectic tin-lead bumps as 1
st
level interconnect. Full RoHS compliant leadfree replacement packages are not
offered due to shift in demand and volumes.
• MAX 7000A is being discontinued due to shift in demand and volumes.
• MAX II is removed from PDN2041 after considering customer feedback and current
supply uncertainty in the broader semiconductor market.
Recommended Action:
Customers are advised to perform a last time buy on the ordering part numbers (OPNs)
impacted by this discontinuance notice. There are no replacement devices available.
