Subject: Product Portfolio Changes – Analog , MEMS and Sensors
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your continuing business and use of STMicroelectronics components. We would like to
inform you of recent decisions that may concern some of the ST products you are using.
STMicroelectronics is revisiting the life cycles of select members of its product portfolio due to market
conditions and factory consolidations. As a result, ST will be suspending production soon of certain
part numbers that are primarily commodity products but have multiple vendor alternatives. The
affected products have significant existing inventories at our distribution partners which will help in
case you have not yet specified other vendors for these products. We hope that these conditions will
make your adjustments to your bill of materials straightforward as a result of these changes.
The major impacted products are:
- LOGIC Devices
- Standard Analog families in mature DIP packages
- Operational Amplifiers in Tubes only (Tape and Reel continue as normal)
Please find attached to this letter the list of affected part numbers for your notification. We are ready
to assist you in finding alternate solutions, should you need assistance, and to offer cross references
to other supplier products.
We apologize for the inconvenience and would like to assure you that we will do our best to help and
assist you in the transition period. Please contact your local ST sales individual or authorized
Distributor should you require further information.
