Dear Digi Key,
The following information is to provide you with advanced notification of a product
discontinuation which will be communicated on and effective as of December 1, 2016.
Products Affected:
MAX 7000, MAX 7000S, MAX 7000B, MAX 9000, FLEX 8000, FLEX 10K, FLEX 10KE, FLEX
10KA, FLEX 6000, APEX 20K, APEX 20KE, APEX 20KC, ACEX 1K, APEX II, Mercury and
MPLD.
The list of affected OPNs is available from your Intel PSG Channel Sales Management team
and will be provided in the Dec 1, 2016 Product Discontinuance Notice (PDN).
Reason for Change:
Intel PSG is committed to supporting product life cycles of 15 years or more and has
consequently been shipping these products for 15-25 years. These legacy products are being
discontinued due to low-volumes and declining demand.
Recommended Action:
Distributors can continue to place new orders until the LTB date of June 1, 2017. To assist with
the transition, we intend to offer a program that will allow you to purchase impacted products to
support your customers for an extended period of time. Your Channel Sales Management team
will discuss the details with you once available. Distributors may also cancel existing orders for
the impacted products as described in the distribution agreement.
Product Transition Dates:
[LTB] Date for last order acceptance*: June 1, 2017
[LTS] Date for last shipments: Dec 1, 2017
*Orders will be NC/NR (non-cancelable, non-returnable)
